The World Ranking list for the year 2004 was published by the FEI this week, Anky is still the sovereign with 79,552. Second is Debbie McDonald from the United States, her score for the year was 76,734. She profited from the retirement of Rusty, the horse which won the individual silver with Ulla Salzgeber at the Olympic Games. Beatriz Ferrer-Salat has ridden a few good World Cup competitions and climbed from four to three and Hubertus Schmidt has also risen a little, from seventh place to fourth. Salzgeber has dropped to 30th place, Edward Gal was, and remains tenth and Imke Schellekens consolidated her 20th position. Sven Rothenberger is in 22nd place, Patricia Callaghan is in 47th place and close by is Marlies van Baalen who has sunk from 26th place to 50th place.
