Live Webcasts of Winter Equestrian Festival Competition Now Available
The Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL, is presenting live webcasts of horse show competition for its 10 weeks of hunter-jumper horse shows. Stadium Jumping, Inc, in association with Productions East Video and XMIevents.com, presents live coverage online to the delight of horse show fans across the country. Whether you’re a horse owner, family member or friend of a rider, or an equestrian enthusiast in general, you can watch the horses of your favorite riders compete live as it happens from Wellington by logging on to www.XMIevents.com. In past years, people could only check results on a web page, but now anyone can see first-hand how a class is unfolding live as it happens. Successful trial runs of the equestrian webcasts were first conducted at the 2003 National Horse Show and the 2004 Winter Equestrian Festival where people were able to see how the internet video feed worked. The initial webcasts were a huge success and now, for a small fee anyone can purchase access to the live coverage for one day or for a full horse show. This allows people to enjoy the classes as if they were standing right there on the rail. “This is an amazing new service. Now people can sit anywhere in the world and watch some of the nation’s leading horse shows. This service has great appeal to riders, trainers, owners and anyone who enjoys watching equestrian competition,” said Jon Cromer, President of Productions East Video. “We are extremely excited to be able to offer this service for the Winter Equestrian Festival.” The cost of the live webcast feed of Winter Equestrian Festival competition is just $25 per day or $100 per week. Productions East Video’s partner, XMIevents.com, has produced and webcast live amateur sporting events including figure skating, track, field hockey, swimming and baseball. They were the first Internet company to provide full service production and live broadcast of amateur athletics.
