The riders/horses were selected based on their 2004 results at international three-day competitions. The members of the 2004 Olympic Eventing Team are included on the list. The Canadian Eventing Committee is comprised of 12 members, including two rider representatives elected by the Elite Riders Association. Directed by the strategic plan for eventing, all Eventing activities are administered by this committee via six sub-committees (one of which is the High Performance Committee). The Equine Canada Eventing Manager, based in Ottawa, coordinates these activities across the country. The High Performance Committee works in partnership with the International Technical Advisor, James C. Wofford in order to develop and manage the National Eventing Team. La discipline nationale de concours complet annonce les noms des athlètes figurant sur sa liste courte et sa liste longue pour 2005 Ottawa, Ontario, le 1 février 2005 – Le comité Haute performance de Concours complet canadien a le plaisir d’annoncer les noms des athlètes figurant sur la liste courte et la liste longue de l’équipe nationale pour 2005. Les couples cavalier-cheval ont été sélectionnés en fonction des résultats qu’ils ont obtenus en 2004 lors de concours complets internationaux. Les noms des membres de l’équipe olympique de 2004 sont compris sur la liste.

Concours complet canadien comprend douze membres dont deux représentants élus par l’Association des cavaliers d’élite. En accord avec le plan stratégique gouvernant le concours complet, toutes les activités de concours complet sont administrées par ce comité via six sous-comités (l’un d’eux est le comité Haute performance). La directrice du concours complet de Canada Hippique, dont les bureaux sont à Ottawa, coordonne ces activités à l’échelle du pays. Le comité Haute performance travaille en partenariat avec l’Aviseur technique international James C. Wofford, qui assure la gestion et le développement de l’Équipe canadienne de concours complet.
