John Lyttle has been re-appointed chairman of international selectors for Eventing Ireland.

Banbridge event rider Carol Prime continues as Northern Region international selector.

This year due to the cancellation of Punchestown, event riders seeking selection to the European team for Blenheim will have to travel further to show their talents including Saumur and Badminton.

Selectors will be keeping a firm eye on results this spring as riders compete for a place on the European squad.

It is expected that Northern Ireland will have quite a few riders contesting the May Badminton horse trials including Eric Smiley, Becky George, Sherelle Duke, Sasha Harrison and possibly Jayne Harrison.
