  FACTS

- Due to suddenly occurring palatial problems in his mouth, which combined with the warm temperatures kept him out of breath, Swiss tophorse Salieri was withdrawn. Shortly before his entering time as last horse to go in Grand Prix, his rider Silvia Ikle decided to withdraw the 11-year old gelding. This cleared to way to victory for Swiss teammate Marie-Line Wettstein.

FACTS

- With the words “Life is a festival. Enjoy it!”, the engaged organisers Micaela and Klaus Werndl expressed their enthusiasm about their ‘Quest Aubenhausen Dressurfestival’. The rider who took their words the most serious of all was the winner of today’s Grand Prix Special, Hubertus Schmidt. Olympic competitor Schmidt was very happy winning the GPS mounting his mare Wansuela Suerte. “The last shows all were won by Weltall and Martin Schaudt, now it was my turn today”, he commented. “I feel very happy with the improvements Wansuela Suerte has made since Athens. I have always said, she needs more time to get stronger and to feel more secure and safe with herself, now she shows in the arena her gained selfconsciousness. Her extensions especially in the trot have become much stronger, the canter has gained power and we even scored some 9’s today for the piaffes!”
