Top-class horse sold at Euro 260.000 Euro at Verden’s 113th Elite Auction
Second best result so far – top-priced foal sold at Euro 52.000
With an auction sales price of Euro 260.000,00, the chestnut stallion Lexus by Londonderry/Weltmeyer leads the price scale at the 113th Verden Elite Auction. Santus by Sandro Hit/Lauries Crusador xx is the most expensive foal, sold at Euro 52.000,00. Both Hanoverians will travel to France.
With Euro 260.000,00, buyers from France won the thrilling bidder’s duel for Lexus by Londonderry/Weltmeyer. The stallion was bred by Andrea Eilfort-Böcker in Ankum and exhibited by Klaus Kamps, Cuxhaven. Donny M by Don Frederico/Weltmeyer (breeder: Adolf Meyer, Dedelstorf – exhibitor: Klaus Michaelis, Basdahl) was the runner-up on the price scale. He was sold at Euro 200.000,00 to a professional show stable in North Rhine-Westphalia.
There were several prospective buyers interested in the colt Santus by Sandro Hit/Lauries Crusador xx. Helmut G. Heidmeyer from Rahden was the breeder and exhibitor of the Sandro Hit-offspring. Again French customers had more staying power, and the bidding was concluded at Euro 52.000,00. With Euro 31.000,00, the sales statistics show another Sandro Hit-son: Step by Step out of a Weltmeyer-dam (breeder and exhibitor: Friedhelm Vehlber, Rahden) was the second best foal, sold to Austria.
Euro 33.286,66 was the average auction sales price and the hitherto second best result achieved at this traditional sales event. Nearly 60% of the horses will be exported, most of them (11) to the United States. The foals were sold at an average price of Euro 7.679,48; 50% of them will be exported. Mainly customers from Great Britain were ready to invest. |
