Indonesia has great results in WDC Group VIII 12-07-2005 2:16 pm
 
 

 
The final country in Group VIII of this year's FEI World Dressage Challenge, Indonesia had a very good result.  They won the Prix St George and Advanced tests, and had the 2nd placed rider in the Children's test.

Larasati Gading won the overall crown, winning thr Prix St George test with a score of 62.25%, just edging long-time leader Claudia Kaufmann and Shack Matt of Thailand.  India's 1998 Asian Games competitor Kapil Modi finished 3rd with Big Ben.

Indonesia was dominent in the Advanced Test, taking four of the top five placings.  1999 SEA World Cup Jumping winner Endaryanto Bambang showed he is multi-talented, winning the division with a good score of 69.57% with Chesenton Armani.  Candidate Jumping Course Designer Rahmat Natsir was 2nd with Alvaro Juang (63.14%.  Larasati Gading was placed 4th overall with a score of 62.43% on Dynamite, while Jolfi Momongan was 5th with Bima on 62.00%.

While Indonesia made no impression in the Novice category, young Reshi Radinal came very close to winning the Children's division.  His score of 68.40% on Rainer gave him 2nd place overall.

Despite their excellent results, Indonesia could not overhaul India.  They finished the team event in 2nd place.  Thailand finished 3rd, Singapore were 4th, while Malaysia brought up the rear of the group.
