Three KWPN bred stallions are named the Chronicle's Horse of the Year in their various disciplines.

Judgement - Show Jumping Horse of the Year.
Consul x Faletta/Akteur; 1991 dark bay stallion; American-bred, KWPN approved, 17 hands, Crown. Breeder and Owner: Mary Alice Malone and Iron Spring Farm of Coatesville, PA; Rider: Beezie Madden.

Judgement was crowned as the Chronicle's Show Jumping Horse of the Year while rider Beezie Madden was named Overall and Show Jumping Horseman of the Year. Amongst other accomplishments, Beezie and Judgement won the $1 million (CAN) CN International Grand Prix at Spruce Meadows in 2005, making him the first American-bred horse to win in the class in its 25-year history.

Since his debut in the green conformation division in 2003, Popeye has earned three consecutive top-three finishes in USEF Horse of the Year awards, along with tricolors at WEF, Devon (PA.) and at the fall indoor shows.

Kingston - Dressage Horse of the Year
Voltaire x Gisnette/Burggraaf; 1992 dark bay stallion, 17.2 hands. Owner/Rider: Leslie Morse of Malibu, CA; Breeder: R. Franssen, NL

Kingston was the USDF Horse of the Year at fourth level in 2000, the same year that Leslie Morse imported him from Holland. The pair won national titles at Intermediaire I in 2001 and then at Grand Prix in 2003 after spending a year in England with Kyra Kyrklund. Kingston and Leslie were the second alternates for the 2004 Olympics. During 2005 the pair settled in at Grand Prix and left an impression on the international dressage scene. Morse finished sixth in her second FEI World Cup Final, and Kingston ended up ranked eighth in the world on the FEI World Breeding For Sport Horses Ranking List.
