SHOW JUMPING - SWAIL WINS ATHENS GRAND PRIX

AFTER a successful week for the irish at the two-star show in Athens,

Greece, Malahide-based Conor Swail capped it today (Sunday) with a

win in the Athens Grand Prix on the Dutch-bred chestnut gelding

.

The only double clear round of the jump-off competition earned the 34

year-old rider today's trophy, but the Irish contingent claimed three

more Grand Prix places, with Dave Quigley and in seventh,

and Capt. Shane Carey on and Cameron Hanley with

Concept> sharing a 12th place with three other riders on eight faults.
